A World Without Borders presents the perspective of an eclectic artist who has traveled widely and lived in various countries without the psychological constraint of borders.
Alvaro Tarragó is a self-taught painter whose inspiration emanates from the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest and his experiences in various countries around the world. Tarragó’s work looks at the world from a critical perspective that rejects the preconceived notions of socio-political reality and the spontaneous and naturalistic rendering of light and color. He combines the visual and the literary arts to achieve a view beyond the margins. The force, colors, and balance of his work echoes both Post-Impressionist and Expressionist painting.Find out more »
Join us at 6pm on June 22nd for an artist talk with Alvaro Tarragó, the featured artist in this month's show at Angst Gallery. This event will be the public's last chance to view Alvaro's show, World Without Borders. The artist talk will also include a wine tasting featuring wines from some of the international locales which inspired his paintings. There will be a five dollar tasting fee.
